National Teen Camp returns in 2017!

HeartKids is extremely pleased to announce we will be holding a National Teen Camp from Friday 20 to Monday 23 January 2017.

The camp is open to heart teens aged 13 to 17 from all over Australia, and will be held in Western Australia on picturesque Rottnest Island. Rottnest Island is situated 19kms off the coast of Fremantle and has many beautiful bays and beaches. Rottnest is a popular destination for tourists and will provide a great experience for our teen campers.

There will be many fun-filled activities including snorkeling, swimming, team challenges, theatre sports and an island tour, plus much more!

Teen Camp gives teens with Childhood Heart Disease the opportunity to spend time with others who may have experienced a similar journey, and develop lasting friendships within a peer support network. Importantly, it is also a chance for teens to attempt testing physical activities that they may have been unable to pursue previously in a supportive environment where peers understand the limitations they may have.

Teen Camp is realised through the generosity of our supporters and the camp nurses, doctors and other staff who donate their time and expertise.

Expressions of Interest are NOW OPEN for campers and volunteers. Click here to visit MyHeart, our dedicated website for heart teens and young adults, to access further information and Expression of Interest Forms.

Teen Camp 2017 has been made possible through the fundraising initiative Ride for Logan. ride_for_logan_logo_resized
